At Bhairabi Handicraft, our artisans are not a footnote in our story. They are the story. Every product we sell was made by a woman who chose her independence through her craft — and who deserves to be known, not just thanked.

WHO OUR ARTISANS ARE

Our artisan network is made up of women from Nepal’s hill communities — women who carry centuries of traditional craft knowledge in their hands and who, for too long, had no platform to turn that knowledge into economic power.
They are mothers, daughters, community leaders, and teachers. They work with us not as factory employees, but as skilled craftspeople who are treated with the respect their mastery deserves.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

  • Formal Skill Training — Every artisan receives structured training in wet felting, needle felting, natural dyeing, quality control, and finishing. Training is always provided free of charge.
  • Fair & Consistent Wages — Our wage structure is transparent, fair, and benchmarked against Nepal’s living cost — not minimised to maximise our margins.
  • Safe Working Conditions — Our workshops maintain clean, safe, and comfortable working environments. We are committed to zero tolerance for unsafe practices.
  • Flexible Working Models — We work around village life — offering schedules that accommodate family responsibilities and seasonal rhythms.
  • Career Progression — Senior artisans move into quality control, training, and design roles. We grow together.
