Q: Where is Bhairabi Handicraft based?

A: We are based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Our artisan network is spread across Nepal’s hill communities, and all products are handmade in Nepal using traditional techniques.

Q: What is felt? How is it made?

A: Felt is a natural textile made by matting, condensing, and pressing wool fibres together — without weaving or knitting. At Bhairabi, we use three primary techniques: wet felting (pressing wool with water and soap), needle felting (interlocking fibres with barbed needles), and natural dyeing. Every step is done entirely by hand.

Q: What wool do you use?

A: We use 100% natural sheep wool — sustainably sourced from verified suppliers. Our wool is natural, biodegradable, hypoallergenic, and free from synthetic blends. We do not use New Zealand wool by default but source responsibly to maintain quality. Please enquire for specific wool sourcing details for large wholesale orders.

Q: Are your products safe for children and babies?

A: Yes. All Bhairabi products are made from 100% natural wool with Azo-free, non-toxic dyes. Our products contain no plastic, no synthetic chemicals, and no harmful additives. They are hypoallergenic, naturally soft, and safe for babies, young children, and pets.

Q: Are products customisable?

A: Absolutely. We welcome custom colour requests, shape requests, size variations, and private label manufacturing. For retail orders, add your customisation notes at checkout or contact us via WhatsApp or email. For wholesale custom orders, our team will guide you through the full sampling and production process.

Q: Why are handmade products slightly different from each other?

A: Because they are genuinely handmade. Natural variations in size, texture, and colour shade are inherent to the hand-felting process — and are a mark of authenticity, not a defect. Each piece is unique, just as each artisan is unique. We consider this a feature, not a flaw.

ORDERS & PRODUCTION

Q: How do I place an order?

A: For retail orders: browse our catalogue and add to cart. For wholesale enquiries: complete our wholesale application form or contact us directly via WhatsApp or email. We respond to all enquiries within 24 hours.

Q: Do I receive an order confirmation?

A: Yes. After placing your order, you will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours. Our team personally verifies every order before confirming production.

Q: What is the turnaround time?

A: In-stock retail items: 2–3 business days to dispatch. Made-to-order items: 7–14 business days. Custom and wholesale orders: 14–21 business days. Samples: 5–7 business days. We always communicate lead times clearly upfront — no surprises.

Q: Can I make changes to my order after placing it?

A: Changes can be made within 24 hours of order placement, before production commences. After production begins, changes may not be possible. Contact us immediately via WhatsApp or email for the fastest response.

Q: Do you offer urgent production for time-sensitive orders?

A: Yes. We offer priority production for urgent orders where our capacity allows. Please contact our team directly to discuss availability and any applicable rush fees.

WHOLESALE & B2B

Q: What is the minimum order quantity for wholesale?

A: Our standard wholesale MOQ is 50 units per product. We are flexible for new buyers and first orders — please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Q: How do I apply for a wholesale account?

A: Complete our wholesale application form on the website, or contact us directly via WhatsApp or email. Our team will review your application within 24–48 hours and send you our full catalogue and pricing.

Q: Do you offer private label or OEM manufacturing?

A: Yes. We offer full private label and OEM services — including custom branding, packaging, and product design. We work with a strict confidentiality policy and can sign NDAs for large-scale private label partnerships.

Q: Do you attend trade fairs or exhibitions?

A: We are actively building our presence at international trade fairs. Please contact us or check our social media for upcoming exhibition dates. We also offer virtual catalogue presentations and video calls for international buyers who cannot meet in person.

SHIPPING & PAYMENT

Q: Which countries do you ship to?

A: We ship worldwide — including Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and the Middle East. Contact us if your country is not listed and we will confirm shipping availability.

Q: How long does shipping take?

A: DHL and FedEx: 4–7 business days to most countries. Standard courier: 7–14 business days. Once dispatched, your tracking number is sent immediately and you can monitor your shipment in real-time.

Q: Who pays customs duties?

A: Customs duties, import taxes, and clearance charges are the responsibility of the buyer. These charges vary by country and are set by your government — they are outside our control. We recommend checking your local import duty rates before ordering.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

A: We accept Bank Transfer (TT/SWIFT), PayPal, and Western Union for international orders. All payment details are provided on your invoice. We do not store any payment information.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

Q: How do I clean felt products?

A: For light cleaning: gently brush or shake. For stains: use a damp cloth with mild soap and press gently — do not rub vigorously. Air dry flat. Avoid machine washing, wringing, or tumble drying. With proper care, Bhairabi felt products are built to last for years.

Q: How long do your products last?

A: With proper care, our felt products are extremely durable — our buyers regularly report product lifespans of 5 years or more. The quality of natural wool and the density of our hand-felting process makes our products significantly more durable than machine-made or synthetic alternatives.
